Itinerary
Departing very early this morning, travel with Anderson Coach to Port Clinton, OH where you board the Jet Express Ferry to Kelleys Island and Put-in-Bay. It is one of the fastest ferries on Lake Erie, taking 25 minutes to travel between Port Clinton and Put-in-Bay. Visit Kelleys Island and you will see why it is truly “An Island For All Seasons.” Located in the western basin of Lake Erie about four miles north of Marblehead and twelve miles from Cedar Point on the Ohio mainland.
Enjoy free time to explore the island on your own. Kelleys Island is a nature-lover’s paradise. Hike coastal trails, comb sandy beaches, kayak near cliffs, and explore the world’s largest example of glacial scoring at Glacial Grooves State Memorial.
Kelleys has a wonderful selection of shops that will help enhance your stay. Peruse our stores for lake-themed items, handmade artisan clothes and jewelry, candy, fudge, stylish clothes, pet accessories, and more! There are also three wineries on the island.
You also enjoy free time in Put-in-Bay. Often called the “Key West of the North,” Put-in-Bay features a lively entertainment scene, historic sites, and breathtaking water views. See stunning state parks, Perry International Peace Memorial, and rocky lakeside beaches along your journey. Spend an afternoon learning about the Battle of Lake Erie at Perry’s Victory Monument, or touring a winery cave.
Included with your visit to Put-in-Bay, is the Tour Train. Settle in and get comfy, as the Jeep led trolley travels through the history and terrain of Put-In-Bay. Between fun facts and beautiful scenery, the train makes scheduled stops for you to explore such as Perry’s Cave Family Fun Center, home to attractions such as the Butterfly House, War of 18 Holes Miniature Golf, Fort aMaze’n the giant maze challenge, Antique Car Museum, and the title attraction, Perry’s Cave!
