Today, travel with Anderson Coach to New Concord, OH. Here you visit the John & Annie Glenn Museum. John Glenn was the first U.S. astronaut to orbit Earth, completing three orbits in 1962. He also served as a U.S senator from Ohio.
This was John Glenn’s childhood home. Experience life during the Great Depression and on the home front during WWII. The John & Annie Glenn Museum presents the life story of John and Annie Glenn through a series of engaging tours, featuring collections and galleries that contain special childhood treasures and memorabilia from Glenn’s military, political and space careers.
This afternoon a stop in Cumberland, OH at the Wilds for a Step-On Safari Tour. Knowledgeable guides will take you through open-range animal areas, where you’ll see rhinos, giraffes and many other rare and endangered animals roaming in large, natural settings. Explore, learn, and relax while you observe the wildlife around you.
This tour includes stops at Lake Trail and the Carnivore Center that features Cheetahs, African wild dogs, and Dholes. Open-Air Safari tours are approximately 2+ hours long. Before or after your safari tour, enjoy a visit to the Wilds’ Gift Market and Overlook Cafe, or a stroll through the Wilds’ Butterfly Habitat.
