Itinerary
Today, travel with Anderson Coach to Jamestown, NY, the hometown of Lucille Ball. Start with a guided tour of Lucy’s hometown with a knowledgeable guide who will take you to places of significance to Lucille Ball in Jamestown and nearby Celoron. You will see the house that she was born in, the house where she grew up and much more. Lucy’s hometown honors “America’s Favorite Redhead” with five murals painted by a local artist.
Next, visit the Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz Museum. Inside you will find a warm salute to the “First Couple of Comedy” in Lucy’s hometown. Get a behind-the-scenes look into the creation and production of the show, experience exact re-creations of the iconic sets as well as an intimate look into the personal lives and careers of Lucy and Desi.
Your group will experience lunch at the Tropicana Room, a recreation of Ricky Ricardo’s famous Manhattan nightclub. In the Tropicana Room, enjoy a deliciously themed meal while watching your favorite episode of I Love Lucy. Even enjoy some entertainment featuring the best up-and-coming comedians!
Also included today is a visit to the National Comedy Center. More than 50 immersive exhibits take visitors on an interactive journey through comedy history, from early vaudeville acts to the latest viral memes.
