From the third week of November through Christmas week, the Gaylord Opryland Hotel is host to a special event titled “A Country Christmas” which includes spectacular holiday lights, a Christmas Dinner Party, and an exhibit called “ICE!” It is four weeks of non-stop holiday fun! Day 1 – Gaylord Hotel – Country Christmas Dinner Show with Oak Ridge Boys
Arrive in Nashville for a Country Christmas celebration at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel for a two night stay. Your group will marvel at more than 3 million holiday lights and acres of magnificent decorations, plus spectacular holiday activities and events that are sure to get you in the spirit of the season and create lasting family memories.
This evening enjoy the Opryland Hotel Christmas Dinner & Show featuring the Oak Ridge Boys. This quartet is one of America’s best know Country & Gospel groups with a number of big hit songs including “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue” and “American Made.” (D)
Day 2 – ICE! – Flat Boat Ride – Touring Options
This morning you experience your favorite scenes from the beloved classic holiday movie “A Christmas Story” in magnificent hand-carved sculptures made from more than TWO million pounds of ice.This icy exhibit blends amazing frozen creations with thrilling ice slides, all enhanced by dramatic lighting and special effects. You will see these fabulous hand-carved sculptures made from more than 2 million pounds of ice posed in familiar scenes from the movie.
The balance of this day includes the Delta Boat Ride that cruises gently through the lush four and a half acre indoor garden while a guide offers unique facts about the Delta’s plants and fish. You’ll also have time to visit the Gaylord Shops, see the Christmas Fountain Show, go Ice Skating,visit the outdoor nativity and more.
You will also have the option of adding a General Jackson Showboat Luncheon or Dinner Cruise.
Dinner is on own, giving you the chance to try one of Opryland’s great restaurants. You may want to add another music show this evening. Let us counsel you on all that happens at the Gaylord Hotel over Christmas. (B)
Day 3 – Depart for Home
After breakfast, depart for home. (B)
