Itinerary

Today, travel with Anderson Coach to Canton, OH.  First stop today is the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum. Experience an interactive science center, a presidential museum dedicated to our 25th president, a historical library, planetarium and more. There are many significant materials and records related to the life of William McKinley, his family and his career here.

You visit the McKinley Monument, a landmark in the City of Canton, is the final resting place for the 25th President of the United States, William McKinley.

Next, enjoy a break for lunch on own and some free time in downtown Canton.  Check out unique, local restaurants and enjoy over 25 art galleries, studios, and shops.

The afternoon features a visit to the First Ladies National Historic Site. Two properties, the home of First Lady Ida Saxton McKinley and the seven-story 1895 City National Bank Building, are preserved at this site, which honors the lives and accomplishments of First Ladies throughout history. The site is managed by the National Park Service and operated by the National First Ladies’ Library. Come learn about how the position of First Lady has evolved over time to include a public role.

Dinner is included this evening at Bender’s Tavern. Located in the historic district of downtown Canton, Bender’s Tavern offers an elegant, relaxing atmosphere where one can enjoy fine food and wine and offering only the highest quality seafood fresh from Foley Fish in Boston, Mass.

Depart for home after dinner.
