Itinerary
Travel today with Anderson Coach to Fallingwater and the Flight 93 Memorial. Starting in Mill Run, PA at Fallingwater, tour the house, Frank Lloyd Wright’ architecture and the integration of the house with its beauty and natural landscape. All tours through Fallingwater are guided tours led by professional interpreters. There is a 1/4 mile gradual downhill walk outdoors, on a gravel driveway, from the Visitor Center to Fallingwater with a marvelous first view. You will become aware of the rhythmic interplay between the interior and exterior spaces by the numerous terraces, open-air walkways and unexpected view of the trees and water as you move through the house.
Next, visit the Flight 93 Memorial in Stoystown, PA. Remember the bravery, courage and commitment of Americans in crisis and how fellow Americans want to keep our home safe. On Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, the U.S. came under attack when four commercial airliners were hijacked and used to strike targets on the ground. Nearly 3,000 people tragically lost their lives. Because of the actions of the 40 passengers and crew aboard one of the planes, Flight 93, the attack on the U.S. Capitol was thwarted.
‘Your visit includes the new Tower of Voices, a visual and audible reminder of the heroism of the forty passengers and crew of United Flight 93. On September 09, 2018 Flight 93 National Memorial hosted a dedication event to complete the final phase of construction and complete the permanent memorial. The chimes were installed and dedicated on September 10, 2020.
Late afternoon departure for home.
