Itinerary

Day 1 – Charlotte, NC

Arrive today in the Queen City, Charlotte, NC.  Check into your hotel for a three-night stay.  Dinner is on your own this evening.

Day 2 – Billy Graham’s Library – Fourth Ward Historical Homes Tour – Dinner Show at Narroway Productions

Today, start the day learning about Billy Graham and his hometown of Charlotte at the Billy Graham Library.  Here you discover how a humble farmer’s son became a pastor to presidents and shared his God’s love with millions of people. The newly updated Library includes state-of-the-art multimedia exhibits, films, and memorabilia, you’ll relive the historic moments of his life. One new exhibit features Billy Graham’s “final journey,” referencing the events surrounding the evangelist’s death in 2018.  You also tour the restored Graham family home. Shop in Ruth’s Attic, filled with unique gifts and books.

After a treat at the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar, stop for lunch on own at the Market on 7^th Street.  This food hall offers gourmet sandwiches, raw juice, artisan pizza, sweet confections and more.  There are also shopping opportunities.

The afternoon features a guided tour of the Fourth Ward Historical Homes. The 30 blocks that make up this tree-lined neighborhood blend modern luxury apartments with restored Victorian homes that carry century-old stories and stunning architecture.

End the day with dinner and a show at Narroway Productions, “The Broadway of Christian Entertainment.”  Savor Southern fare and hospitality served up by a cast that delivers moving theatrical performances.  Live animals, original stories and uplifting music are all part of the experience. (B,D)

Day 3 – NASCAR Hall of Fame – Lunch at Pit Stop Café – Charlotte Motor Speedway Tour – Southern Grace Distillery Whiskey Prison After Dark Tour

This morning, tour the NASCAR Hall of Fame.  Inside this high-octane venue, learn about the history of motorsports and see memorabilia from some of racing world’s greatest moments. Along the way, pay tribute to trailblazers of the sport who have earned their ranks.  Get in on the action by walking through a hauler, practicing a pit stop and racing in a realistic racing stimulator.

A lunch voucher is included today at the Hall of Fame for use in the Pit Stop Café.  Refill your tank with savory barbecue or tasty sandwiches all while enjoying a view of the famous Glory Road exhibit.

The afternoon features a tour of Charlotte Motor Speedway.  Get a behind-the-scenes look at Charlotte Motor Speedway, The Dirt Track and zMAX Dragway! Learn the illustrious history of each track while taking in the sights and sounds of Americas Home for Racing!

On this “Feel the Thrill” tour, visit the NASCAR Cup Series garage area and take a ride through two infield race tracks. After you make your way down Pit Road, stop in Winner’s Circle for a photo opportunity. Learn the history of Charlotte Motor Speedway while enjoying a comfortable van ride around the Superspeedway where you will feel the full-tilt force of the 24-degree banking.

Dinner is included at a local restaurant followed by an evening tour and tasting at Southern Grace Distillery in nearby Mt. Pleasant, NC.  On this Prison After Dark Tour, which is illuminated only by flashlights and candlelight, tour the grounds and buildings that make up this decades old prison-turned-distillery and hear stories about the property.  This tour ends with a whiskey tasting. Return to your Charlotte hotel after the tour. (B,L,D)
