Itinerary
Day 1 – Thursday – Charlotte
Arrive today in Charlotte, NC for a three-night stay. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 2 – Friday – Holiday at NASCAR Hall of Fame w/lunch – Shopping at Concord Mills – Speedway Christmas
Today, start the day with Holidays at the Hall. Visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame to snap a picture in front of the 32-foot Christmas tree glimmering with thousands of LED lights, stroll through the twinkling trees in the Ceremonial Plaza, browse gifts for the NASCAR fans on your list.
Tour this high-octane venue, and learn about the history of motorsports and see memorabilia from some of racing world’s greatest moments. Along the way, pay tribute to trailblazers of the sport who have earned their ranks. Get in on the action by walking through a hauler, practicing a pit stop and racing in a realistic racing stimulator.
A lunch voucher is included today at the Hall of Fame for use in the Pit Stop Café. Refill your tank with savory barbecue or tasty sandwiches all while enjoying a view of the famous Glory Road exhibit.
Enjoy an afternoon of shopping at Concord Mills. At nearly 1.4 million square feet, Concord Mills is one of the largest shopping and entertainment complexes in the Southeast. Here, there are more than 200 retailers, with outlet hubs for brand names like Coach, Michael Kors and Bass Pro Shops. Take advantage of the abounding entertainment options, including Dave & Busters, and the SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord Aquarium, complete with touch pools, interactive displays and sensory-friendly admission times.
Dinner will be included tonight at one of the restaurants at the shopping center like BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse or the Bonefish Grill.
Then end the day with a Speedway Christmas at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. This is the biggest and brightest holiday lights spectacle in the Southeast with over 4 million lights and a 3.75 mile drive-thru at this iconic speedway. Immersed in a sea of twinkling LEDs strung throughout the oval, road course and concourse, experience the dazzling lights display that is synchronized to Christmas music. (B,L,D)
Day 3 – Saturday – Billy Graham Library – Charlotte Christmas Village – NarroWay Productions Dinner Show
This morning, visit the Billy Graham Library and learn about Billy Graham and his hometown of Charlotte. Here you discover how a humble farmer’s son became a pastor to presidents and shared his God’s love with millions of people. The newly updated Library includes state-of-the-art multimedia exhibits, films, and memorabilia, you’ll relive the historic moments of his life. One new exhibit features Billy Graham’s “final journey,” referencing the events surrounding the evangelist’s death in 2018. You also tour the restored Graham family home. Shop in Ruth’s Attic, filled with unique gifts and books.
Enjoy the afternoon and lunch on own at the Charlotte Christmas Village. Based on the centuries-old traditions of a holiday market, the Christmas Village at Truist Field’s Light the Knights brings shopping from around the world, traditional flavors of Christmas, unique handmade gifts, and live entertainment. Don’t miss the usual European menu including bratwurst, schnitzel, and strudel, along with the popular Gluhwein, hot cider, beers, and of course, hot chocolate.
Tonight, enjoy dinner and a show at Narroway Productions, “The Broadway of Christian Entertainment.” Savor Southern fare and hospitality served up by a cast that delivers moving theatrical performances. Live animals, original stories and uplifting music are all part of the experience. See your favorite Christmas scenes! Hear your favorite Christmas songs!
